    Description

    We worked with a woman who owned a kimono shop in Colorado who told us this is probably from the 30s or 40s, and hand made.  She also identified it as a silk brocade fabric, and would have been used by a young woman for a special occasion.
    The length measures 55 1/2" from the collar to bottom edge.  When the kimono is hung with arms out to the sides, the span from right arm outside edge to left arm outside edge spans 49".  When the kimono is laid flat with the front edged folded over, the width is 20" across.  Pictures show there is a big of aging or stain on an inside seam.
