    How to use Kensho?
Buddhism monk wear uniform "Kesa". This cloth is called Kensho (Simplified Kesa). In Nichiren Buddhism, followers wear this Kensho over their shoulder (In other schools, followers wear Hangesa around their necks). Both are simplified uniform for Buddhist monk or lay people.
    (see also the picture).
Hot-blooded Buddhist monk. A founder of Nichiren school
Nichiren was a Buddhist monk who lived during the Kamakura period (1185-1333) in Japan. Nichiren taught devotion to the Lotus Sutra, Namu-Myoho-Renge-Kyo, as the exclusive means to attain enlightenment and the chanting of "Nam Myo ho Renge Kyo" as the essential practice of the teaching. He is credited with founding what has come to be known as Nichiren Buddhism, a major school of Japanese Buddhism encompassing numerous sects espousing diverse doctrines.

    Nichiren Buddhism Emblem
This emblem is called "Igeta-ni-Tachibana". It's Nichiren's family crest.
His family derived from Nukina clan. And Nukina clan derived from Ii clan ( Ii clan was chief vassal of Tokugawa Shogunate). This crest is still Ii family's. That's why it's also Nichiren's family crest.
Igeta means a well. Tachibana means Citrus.
It's combination of spring water and dignified green plant. I mean, it's symbol of eternal life..
Kuon-ji (head temple of Nichiren Buddhism)
Nichiren Buddhism head temple is Kuon-ji at Mt. Minobu, Yamanashi Japan. It’s one of the largest temple.
Mt. Minobu and Mt. Shichimen (next to Minobu) are significant area as Nichiren Buddhism
