    Description

    This is a stunning kimono that can be worn as a formal coat or to dress up a more informal outfit.  It was purchased at high end boutique in Beijing, China, in the 1990's and was only worn about twice.  It definitely deserves to be loved, worn, and enjoyed by a fashionable person!  It's beautiful enough to be displayed as a wall hanging.  I believe it is Japanese in origin and intended for a man (but perfect for a woman as well).
    It is unbranded and unsized, but would surely fit most adults (generously cut).
    This kimono is made of silk and is completely reversible, giving you two different looks in one garment (great for travel!!).  One side is of a luscious chocolate brown silk satin with varying stripes of woven silk brocade at the back, wide black collar edging and sleeves.  The other side is solid black matte woven silk with 5 cream colored circular crest designs at the upper sleeves, front and back.  No belt, no pockets.
    It measures 24 inches across the back at the underarms, and 43 inches total length from the center back base of the collar band to the bottom edge.  I inspected this closely and the only condition issue I found was a small area of weakness in the brown silk on one of the sleeves near the black edging.
