    Description

    This is a
vintage original 11x14 in. US lobby card #1
from the classic 1960's comedy/drama romance,
    SEND ME NO FLOWERS
, released in 1964 by Universal Pictures and
    directed by Norman Jewison
. Based upon the play by Norman Barasch and Carroll Moore, and featuring a screenplay by Julius Epstein, at one of his many visits to his doctor, hypochondriac George Kimball mistakes a dying man's diagnosis for his own and believes he only has about two more weeks to live. Wanting to take care of his wife Judy, he doesn't tell her and tries to find her a new husband. When he finally does tell her, she quickly finds out he's not dying at all (while he doesn't) and she believes it's just a lame excuse to hide an affair, so she decides to leave him. The cast includes Rock Hudson, Doris Day, Tony Randall, Hal March, Paul Lynde, Edward Andrews, Patricia Barry, and Clint Walker.
The image features a shot of George (
    Rock Hudson
    ) and Judy (
    Doris Day
) about to kiss while sitting on their bed in their pajamas and nightgown. As indicated in the center of the bottom border, this is lobby card #1 from the set of 8 cards. The border artwork features a second image of the famous screen pairing along with cast member
    Tony Randall
. As indicated in the center of the bottom border, this is lobby card #1 from the set of 8 cards. It is unrestored in near-fine condition with creases and signs of wear in primarily the left half of the top border; a Canadian censor stamp in the upper green background area; and two creases of varying sizes in the bottom third of the right border; and a light 2 in. vertical crease just above the bottom left corner in the left border. There are no pinholes, tears, stains, or other flaws and the color tints are fresh and bright without any signs of fading.
